A cell phone was reported stolen from an unattended purse at The Commons. A staff member reported she had left her purse unattended in a work area between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. the previous day. Police do not have any investigative leads at this time.

A Buell Hall resident reported cash was stolen from his or her room. The alleged theft occurred between Sept. 28 at 10:30 p.m. and Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. The case remains under investigation.

A vehicle was damaged on Westview Drive between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The suspect fled after damaging the other vehicle’s driver’s side door and cracking its mirror. A witness obtained information about a suspect and suspect’s vehicle and left this information on the victim’s vehicle. Police are investigating the incident.

A traffic stop at Ballard Street and Florence Street resulted in a drunk driving arrest. When the officer stopped the driver, the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested, processed and later released. Police are seeking a warrant.

Two minor in possession incidents took place. The first took place at 1:16 a.m. at College Place and Cross Street. The subject received a citation and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment.
The second incident took place in Phelps Hall at 2:38 a.m. An underage female was found passed out in a hallway. She also received a citation and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment.

Police received an anonymous tip concerning drug use in a Phelps Residence Hall room. Police searched the room and found drug paraphernalia in a desk drawer. The subject was questioned and admitted to the use of heroin. The case remains open while a warrant is being sought.
