EMU student tests positive for Tuberculosis

WJBK Fox 2 News has reported an EMU student has tested positive for Tuberculosis.

The student works at the Eastern Eateries.

14 student co-workers have been give TB tests as a precautionary measure.

Tuberculosis is a bacterial infection that mainly affects the lungs, but it can also affect the brain,kidneys or spine.

According to the Center for Disease Control,symptoms of Tuberculosis include feelings of weakness,coughing,chest pain and coughing up blood.

Anyone displaying any of these symptoms should immediately contact their physician or local hospital.
