A male Eastern Michigan University student, who has yet to be identified, was the victim of an armed robbery about 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
When the victim got into his car on the 700 block of Congress St., four male suspects confronted him. Two of the suspects were armed with semi-automatic handguns. All four suspects appeared to be in their late teens or early 20s.
One of the armed suspects struck the victim in the head with his gun took his wallet while the victim was incapacitated. The suspects also attempted to take the victim’s car during the robbery.
The suspects were last seen fleeing the scene on foot, although it is unclear which direction they fled.
The victim was treated and released with minor injuries at the scene.
The victim described the four suspects as follows:
- Black Male, late teens to early 20s, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and armed with a handgun
- Black Male, late teens to early 20s, wearing a red and black jacked with the letter “R” on the chest, armed with a handgun
- Black male, late teens to early 20s, wearing all dark clothing
- White male, late teens to early 20s, wearing all dark clothing
